Hey guys, hope you all are doing good. Well I hope the EOSS has hit you hard and you all have stuffed your wardrobe with enough pieces from the A/W 2014 Collection. While strolling across brand outlets a while ago in search of gathering the perfect few pieces this winter, here’s a story about one such piece which has made an existence in this year’s A/W collection across the globe. Yes, I am talking about the Doudoune Empiecement Bomber Gilet (Jacket) I invested in, a while ago. The Gilet is arguably the ultimate transitional garment. Whether used as a middle or top layer, this often polarising piece will help combat autumn’s notoriously temperamental weather. Giving justice to the previous thought is my look for today. I am wearing this iconic red shirt; layered it with the bomber jacket I have been talking about pairing it up with our very own indigo denim jeans. The Gilet’s main selling point is its ability to keep you warm without becoming stifling or adding unnecessary bulk. A lightly padded, down-filled version is ideal; with it being able to slip seamlessly over the top of a shirt/knit for extra insulation. Finishing the look are one of my favourite pair of brown shoes from my wardrobe. So, what are you waiting for? Go grab one of these pieces if you missed on them while shopping and stalk them in your closet this winter.

Coming soon on the blog are some of my favourite pieces I grabbed this A/W 2014-15.

TIP BY HE IS GOT THE STYLE:
Before you invest, have a think about the type of gilet you want and the look you’re going for. This item is now available in rugged heritage    such as tweed, cord or wool, which have a slightly more relaxed feel and work particularly well as a top layer, especially when paired with other outdoors-inspired attire.
