WARDROBE COURTESY:
Hello my lovely people; With both the SPRING/SUMMER and AUTUMN/WINTER collections featuring a more vibrant palette, 2014 was definitely the year that menswear began to really accept colour.2015 is shaping up to be the year where we continue to move from the monotony of the monochrome and cement colour as an integral part of the male wardrobe.Looking ahead to the upcoming SPRING/SUMMER months, the key colour is one of familiarity. BLUE, the colour in question is of course; the stereotypical boys’ colour. Bedrooms and clothing are splashed in the shade almost as soon as the baby’s sex is revealed. The origins of this trend and colour are hardly covert. Most major fashion houses gave BLUE – in one form or another – a starring spot in their SS15 collection. SUITS AND BLUE have been lovers like forever now. Tailoring has undergone a mini-renaissance over the last few years and the suit has regained its rightful foothold in men’s fashion. While the blue suit is an absolute essential and timeless part of every man’s wardrobe, it has staked a claim to be your go to for the upcoming months. By going a shade or two lighter than the exact shade, you can more easily incorporate some pastel shirts and accessories into your look and in the process become the epitome of a real spring/summer palette. Picturising the above idea is my look for today. I am wearing a BASIC ROYALE BLUE SUIT in light fabric layered upon a WHITE DRESS SHIRT. Accessorizing the look smartly, are these few wristbands around my wrist with a mandate colour red which contrasts to my black shoes having a blue and red rim. Red is significant in the SS’15 palatte so you are going to see me using this one in my future post’s too. SUNGLASSES is a basic of every attire you deck up for SS. So, if you are planning to buy a suit anytime soon now, this one’s a perfect grab. Go try this one on and tell me how you like it.

Love the overall look, especially the suit. The shoes and suit, however, do not go together well. The shoes are overpowering the suit which looks to be a cotton or cotton blend? Possible end on end mercerized cotton? Nubuck suede shoes would be better with a poplin cotton or at the very least a lightweight gab wool. Argh…sorry to be a critic… the hem also looks odd on the trousers?
Blue looks great on you! Keep rocking’ the looks.
Thank you for suggestions. Love the feedback. 😀
