SUNNY SHIFT FOR GQ INDIA

Hello my lovely people!!! Menswear waits for no one. So while we might still be able to see our breath indoors, it’s time to start looking ahead to see what’s set to be big once the temperatures pick back up.From technical tailoring to trousers that won’t lower your sperm count, this is your first look at the trends we expect to hit hard for spring/summer 2016 in association with GQ India !

Shades of Grey:

Grey was at the core of colour palettes across all the global SS 16 fashion weeks, with everyone which also included layering multiple shades of grey, ranging from dark charcoal to light stone.Versatile and extremely easy to wear, grey flatters all skin tones. But it can – depending on how you style it – look a little casual. To separate your outfit from grey loungewear, you should switch to a more formal frame of mind. Fine knits, wool overcoats and well-cut suits are all good places to start when trying your hand at this trend

On Safari:

Menswear has always been enamoured of utility. But while that’s usually manifest in military-inspired overcoats and camo prints, designers changed tack for SS16, looking to the dawn of aviation and early 20th century safaris for inspiration.

Polo Love:

Casualwear  plays an extremely important role within the modern gent’s wardrobe, from both a practical and style perspective. Polo neck tees like the one above would make an excellent addition to your hot weather  arsenal, helping bring character, texture and personality to any look you choose to create this SS16.

Floral Power:

No longer the preserve of womenswear, floral print has become a men’s spring/summer staple. But as it finds a place on everything from three-piece tailoring to racer backs (shudder) this season, it does need some sound direction. Here, we prove that incorporating floral into your everyday look (in a tasteful way) is a lot easier than you might think.

Orange is the New Black:

In a world where the majority of men have black, blue, grey and white ingrained in their minds as the only colours that exist for clothes, understated hues like orange and burgundy offer us the chance to stand out from the crowd in a subtle and refined way.Orange is and has always been one of the vital hues; in every years Spring summer palette.
