Hello my lovely people!!! I get overwhelmed when it comes to collaborating with great creative heads in association with the blog. One such brand, is of India’s one of the best designers- JAYESH AND RIXI of the QUIRKBOX fame ( even people abroad have gone gaga over their stuff) . Briefing about the brand; Quirk Box by Jayesh and Rixi is a fun, crazy, colourful brand which always comes up with some funky and chic designs that are creative and not awkward. The innovative offbeat collection of Quirk Box at the Lakme’ Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 (quick flashback) ramp was a play on their trademark Quirk Box prints that were combined together in fun patchwork styles ( love-struck). I got an opportunity to curate looks from their Wanderlust SS’15 collection. We’re not going to lie; prints and patterns are tricky. If you’ve built a classic, timeless and versatile capsule wardrobe, it can be difficult to know how to stylishly incorporate busy details into your outfits on a regular basis. Thankfully, the latest crop of seasonal prints offers simple motifs that even the most aesthetically conservative guy can get on board with. So, while we’ve seen everything from dress shirts to bandhagala’s on the SS15 runways; here is a teeny tiny attempt by He is got the Style to bring to you a sneak peek of how SS’15 for THE QUIRKBOX looked liked.
THE VOYAGER:
In the initial look, I am in a travelling mood. The Airplane coloured shirt just woke up the wanderer in me who has a business or corporate tour in mind. This printed shirt goes best with any minimalist outfit (keeping the bright print in mind). Since I have a business tour in mind; I thought of opting for a well tailored suit and replacing my dress shirt with this printed beauty. A perfect book to read on board compliments the trip well. So why not try on this combination on your next short business trip??
Brownie points to JAYESH AND RIXI for taking an extra effort in picking up the perfect uber cool fabric for these garments while keeping Mumbai summer ( duh) in mind. With such a broad range of prints and patterns populating menswear stores this season, there’s guaranteed to be at least one style that’ll work for even the most ardent of minimalists. I hope you’ll liked the way I styled these four garments from Quirkbox SS’15 Collection. You can take a look at the entire collection on www.quirkbox.com and treat yourself with some awesome beauties from this super fun brand.
