Making a comeback to Lakmé Fashion Week after 3 years, ace designer Wendell Rodricks presented his collection ‘Popology for Philips 2015’ inspired by Pop Art for the eager fashion fanatics.
The exclusive collection by Wendell Rodricks represented unique, edgy and fearless styling which lies at the heart of the Philips Personal Care. In addition to this special show, Phillips has associated with Lakmé Fashion Week as the ‘styling partner’ for the entire show with all the models being styled using Philips grooming gadgets.
The ‘Popology for Philips 2015’ collection was also a reference to the Pop Up concept used to merchandise at unusual places other than a flagship store. Keeping the latest styling trends in mind, Rodricks’ POPOLOGY Collection for Phillips 2015 defined the narrative of a nostalgic 60’s emotion with a fashion forward look. For the first time ever, for Phillips Personal Care, Rodricks unfurled a vast colour palette that included sunshine yellow, burnt orange, olive green, pale mint, dove grey, black, candy pink, pale lilac, Turkish blue, turquoise blue and signature white. This fit perfectly into the concept of youthful fashion at Philips, which is known for its personal care products that marry the latest technology with ease of use to make styling oneself at home a reality.
In attendance were the crème de la crème of the city including Maria Goretti, Mushtaq Sheikh, Zaher Khan, Anjana Sharma, Pooja Bedi, Sharmila Khanna, Pooja Batra, Suzanne Sablok. The collection caught the fancy of the spectators and the styling for all models, done using Philips grooming gadgets, blended rhythmically adding to the glamour on ramp!
