Hello my lovey people!!!It’s not breaking news that for the past few seasons prints and patterns have dominated menswear. And whether or not you’re a fan of this new bold direction, there’s no escaping their influence on current A/W 15 collections. Offering an easy way for men to differentiate their traditionally stripped-back winter looks from one another while simultaneously adding a touch of personality to an outfit, the right print will have a positive effect on your cold weather wardrobe. Coming to today’s blogpost , we shall now differentiate prints and patterns and various ways to style them on. Commencing with, often the reserve of our female counterparts, leopard print is leading the pack this season as part of the wider animal print trend.Having recently emerged from the fashion wilderness, animal print emphasizes menswear’s ever-broadening horizons and continual move in a bolder and braver direction. Long gone are the days of monochrome monotony a walk down the high street is now an experience awash with color and pattern.Secondly, after spending time travelling, I saw plenty in the way of bold African-inspired prints that would look great in either t-shirt or accent form. Surprisingly enough, upon my return all sorts of ethnic patterns popped up on the menswear scene. The Flagship print in the above images is an example of this inspiration. Thirdly, not just the sole reserve of festival acid trippers, kaleidoscope patterns are set to soar this season. This trend is a way of incorporating a bold imprint that straddles each side of the style spectrum. The choices are endless; real vibrancy for the statement makers or monochrome variations for a sober alternative. The traditionalists of our kind might raise an eyebrow but: do not fear. As patterns lie on the more casual side of menswear, these pieces can still be teamed with tailoring for a burst of colour and you’ll find a seamless blend of the classic and the contemporary. Ideal.
